"Born With Erasers" by Joe DiMino

Seems like

we should have

been born with erasers--

Oh, I know,

there's the mind--

if not able to forget

can justify anything,

like a dog

trotting from bone-holes--

but imagine,

if we could really

make it so

it never happened--

Too many are deceived,

Death their distiller--eternally impaled,

squandering "The Cross of Resurrection."
