You are the Light
Of my shadow;
The dawn arising—
First triumphant
At blazing edges
Of clouds,
Foothills of skies
Yet to be climbed;
Parting into new day,
Not measured by cycles,
But brightness,
Preparing the heart
For timeless sense of being….
I am touched first by warmth—
Then by immutable clearness
Of promise;
Your hand lifting
Toward even greater
Stars out of night.
