"Worship" (by Joe DiMino)
We all worship
God or gods-
One form
Or another-
Supernatural
Or other;
Man, immortal or state,
Property, art, can be
None-the-less great
In our eyes
Or in our need
If given one's fate
To adore
Or beg guidance
Our fear
Their lethal hands-
Gods of love;
Gods of sword;
Gods here
Gods above-
Giving ours
Or taking theirs-
Which only rule?
And one
Only cares
.
