"Winter Caps" (by Joe DiMino)

Winter caps the earth’s breasts;
Yet she holds the sun warmly
In reflection—
Knowing her season of cold-temperament
Will pass—

All nurturing not gone however
For she sleeps her births
Weaned on subterranean flows;

"Tuck and dream
My myriad ones…
For you are ageless
And countless
Together our cycles…

Soon we will greet one another
Again in garments fair;

No matter how seemingly
Far away rest assured
Wherever you are
I am Lovingly there...."
