"Where Are You" (by Joe DiMino)

Where are you tonight my love?
Off again reading your bliss—
Kissing life of pages,
My little bookworm—
Gnawing holes
To your heart’s content;

Where are you tonight, my little angel?
On some celestial cloud
Singing praises—
Plucking Great String-spheres,
Music of your own
Across Light-years;

And where am I my love?
With down-home beat;
Tapping my fanciful feet—
A spirit melody
Firm on earth
Not in air—
The greens and grits of life;
Black-eyed peas
And local bits of life—
Firmly here—
