When I fall in love
The heart tells me so—
When I fall in love
The heart insists I know,
Always inclined to trying
The heart incapable of lying
Though often fooled
For the heart
Sees only love—
Its nature
To purely feel
Not an intellect
Certainly no scientist
Nor perfectionist
Often settling for far less
Than it gives
For the heart only lives
To love
Walks away
From the crying
Back to its poetry
Its happy ending tales
The dying
Left to us….
