"There Was A Cloud" (by Joe DiMino)

There was a cloud today—
A large, dark mass
I hoped would soon pass
From overhead—
And broke away,
A section parting,
Shaped like a heart
The sun behind making
Bright its edges—

Somewhere back of me
A warmth was reminded

I turned

Walked out of the shadow
