"There Are Occasions" (by Joe DiMino)

There are occasions
I want to do nothing
But sit back
And enjoy the less—
Sink my way
To needless bottom—

Exhale all emergency
Impending—

My ticking sense
Paused—

Here, in the moment,
Pendulum caught and held,
The clock-face meditation
Of hands without wind,
Lovely in their form,
My sculpture of Time—

No to and fro—
Emptying I complete:

Think of all I am not
(Blessed in this);

All I don’t want to be
(Again blessed);

Think of having
No more to prove—
Realizing especially to God!

I am still—
All surface and depth
Love….
