 “The heart of Poetry”(by Joe DiMino)

Precious yellow rose
Beside the crimson red;
Pink and white
Candy-stripe
For balance she said;
Then, his turn, the boy
With scented blossoms too
Read his poem well scripted
As if each word
Freshly penned
A bouquet new-

Oh, the heart, poetry!
Beats forever true;
As those who write
Blossoming even when
They're blue-
Those who love
Tenaciously
Long after
Love
Is through,
Even after
Love
Is through…
