"The Way Of Flesh" by Joe DiMino
The way of flesh
Is not weak
Infected by the light and dark
Of the soul
The spirit omnipotent
Indeed has the virulent-edge
But must roll
Over the earth
Bury its roots in soil
For their many voices to sing,
As they will
The air must carry
While we
Our treasures and burdens,
Their most highs
With the far lesser lows
All of which
Ultimately beyond imagination;
We are inseparable
In our hands
The putties of lights and darks
We do not see
But sense as we touch
Knowing calluses and creams
Of necessity
Love and hate
Are far more than physical words
But often seem far too less
To be written and mercifully done
.
