"The Looking Glass"(by Joe DiMino)

There was a time I knew you--

it was very long ago;

and the looking glass

though dim somewhat

retains familiar glow--

Here not the body

of the poem

composed I once to fame--

while yet the writing

smudged somewhat

retains a clear refrain:

Sometimes success, more times failure,

the race no less divine--

the image bare, the portrait done,

I'll shatter when I sign....
