The heart already knows
What the world
Has yet to learn;
So…dear—sweet poet…
Light of days and nights
No times bar you:
Lord of lords
No seed denies you—
For there, lifting,
Though a shade yet
The shadow
Shy of all humanity
It is you holding for the world
Those blossoms high, unseen
Like that God who ordained you
And that spirit mother who gives you
Wingful voice to sing
And paint with words
All that we innately feel
Defining our frailties
To draw strength
And courage from
When reaching
For hidden treasures
Destined to be freed
Which only you, brave poet,
Can birth
To our lives—
