"The Kiss" by Joe DiMino

There is nothing
Finer than a kiss—
No vintage wine
Can compare to such bliss—
Though intoxicating
Brew may seem,
A kiss, not a glass
Is far supreme—

And many others have
Greed for the rich
Of jewels;
For possessions
Less than these
Have violated
More than man’s rules—

Yet for me
Remains the greatest prize
The wealth of passion
In my beloved’s eyes;
The parting of her lips,
The press against mine,
Breathlessly I gasp—thank You, Divine!
