"That Confounds Us All" by Joe DiMino

Words are rather pointless
Where the summits
Are all rounded,
Conforming to the earth
A circumference
But no real magnitude
If a body alone
Whether heavenly
Or not—

I have met many Heavenly
Hell when the sun came up—
Charming angels gone
They were visions before…

Before birth
Before graduation
Before marriage
Before elected

It seems the one constant
The only perfect, an After;
Yet some have claimed returned
If true
That confounds us all…
