"Teach Our Children" (by Joe DiMino)

Teach our children
But control them not;
A heart having pulse apart
From the organ itself,
The size of a fist
While Image-refrain
That same Hand of God;

Let them learn strength
Of grasp;
Those things we hold dear
For generations,
And those released for
Immortal flight
Sensing we fly with them;
Let them experience
The power of youth—
Its marshal divine;
Introduce them—
Defendant and jury
Bound-up in same trial,
With the Higher Judge
By His Supreme Law—
Always the last
Word, Forgiven…
