"Starry Nights" (by Joe DiMino)
I speak of Starry Nights
As Van Gogh
May have seen them
In Technicolor
A man of future dreaming
To the detriment
Of present visions;
He closed his mind
To all his eyes
Had long worn away,
Discarded as
Over-ripened tissues-
Good suits cut to rags
For wiping brushes
A bin full of partially used
Friends and lovers
The evolution of art-
The only witness
He would accept
A consolidated madness
.
