"So Little Interests Me" (by Joe DiMino)
So little interests me
I count the hours now,
Aware there was a time
I once filled them;
A time I once dreamed
Before I knew them all,
Came to laugh at the scary faces,
And knew the lovely ones
would soon dissolve
Or abruptly leave
It is the way with beauty,
In the eyes of the beholder
But nowhere else
I have heard it is skin-deep
Much deeper though,
To the core of vision
Where the mind
Looses all control
And the heart has
Its special, unreal way
Beating back the wind,
Making Sun-drops out of rain
