 “Snake and Man”(by Joe DiMino)

Snake and Man
An affinity—
Flicking the air,
Probing with senses
The chemical tastes,

Man’s tongue
Open-ended
Split between right
And wrong—
There, the difference:

Snake a soulless instinct,

Ours
A damnable choice….
