"Seamless Fabric" (by Joe DiMino)

Vehicles terminate—

But do not mourn
That vintage Vet,
No regret
For the uncaring…

As all timed bodies
Are imagined
For the bearing
Of a deathless spirit,
Their outgrowth
Never needing
Repeating
Or comparing

The Soul’s airing—
An upward fall
Endlessly higher
And steeper
The incline;
And a platform
Made
For level stretch
Redundant
If used
For repairing

The only fallacy
That of vision
And not a fault
Called tearing:
Seamless fabric
Is our
Universe—
As that complex cloth
Woven for
A Lord
