Perriless Nature of Haiku (by Joe DiMino)

Writing for me
Is like breathing—

I do it
Because it feels good;

Having no other reason than
The gasping between works

Makes me thing of scuba,
And
Running out of air
At forty feet—

The committing addiction—
A thought to snag
A passing ink-squirting-eel
And introduce the fishy
(Rumored to be
Notoriously
Slow learners)
To Haiku
Before surfacing….
