"Parting Is The Sweetest Sorrow" by Joe DiMino.

It was night
Without end;
Before a day
For dawning
A beginning—
Such time is great solitude—
The deep eternal
Can be endless longing…
The One Soul immortal
But alone sends out tributaries,
Launches a sea of free humanities—
There is no taking back
An ultimate gift;
What good omnipotence if alone?
What omnipresence worth no
Place to go?
Omniscience no substitute
For living—
The lesser is the greater
For unknowing…
Therefore parting is
The sweetest sorrow—
So went all of love
Into all that is unknown
Of our today
and tomorrow....
