Now I am afloat—
A rising cloud of sightless suspension,
Or deeply misty sea
With other foolhardy souls,
A stouthearted crew,
Daring to go sailing on the blind…
We know each other
By sound only—the echo of our poetry,
By a hollow knock—
Empty sense
Unsettling enough to risk everything……
