“No Galileo allowed!”
Read the sign
At the entrance to
My self-centered universe;
“All Planetary Motion
Around Me” Ordered another
In red, meteor letters—
All suns ousted
From their rightful status;
Moons no longer ardent lovers
But those simply captured
To be coldly possessed—

It is often this way
With heavenly bodies;
At times
Having made one of my own;
My gravity
And centripetal
A near circle
Of immortality—
While I am sure a speck
For one afar
Of perhaps greater infinity
Looking off—
