"My Garden" (by Joe DiMino)

I sit in my garden—
Mine—not in an owning-sense—
More on a king’s parcel,
Feeling highly trusted
For attending—

Out from enclosure,
Opening as if flowering—

Flesh tenderizing
(A willing roast)

Yielding to absorption—

Sun’s free basting
Richly buttering me
As I go
About blessing....
