"Murky Blue" (by Joe DiMino)

I spoke to a star last night…
And as the wise in you knows
What company will do—
I turned a bit lighter
More sky
From a dark
And murky blue;

(So find yourself a star
To own—any name will do;
Call it Winky
Or Blinky—
Names are only names
More important
Are those you answer to:

They can call me old
Worn-out
Without a modern clue—

But never again
will I answer

To through;

No such reply

Sorry—out of the color
Murky Blue….
