"Love Is Quite Private" by Joe DiMino

Love is quite private—
Not to say
That love should not
Be shared—sound
For joy
In all directions!—
Bugle of the heart,
More than time keeper
Also trumpet of
The resident soul;
But that mystery
From where
And why
Should be
As the secret
Of her rose
Only a dolt
Would pause
Of such beauty
To unnaturally
Define--
Love, when deliriously best,
To the rational mind
Should forever remain
Deaf
Dumb
And wonderfully blind....
