"Looking Out And Looking In" (by Joe DiMino)

I was taught by stars

to seek light;

my attention naturally drawn

to illumination

related to magnetism

we now know

in a true scientific sense--

repelled into shadows

our sun confirmed this oscillating state--

to protect ones eyes

sometimes it is better not to see;

to protect the mind

sometimes it is best

to simply accept things on faith

when looking out and looking in....

fear is from the outside

creeping into shadows

our open invitation....
