Looking back

I think of all the people

whom I have known--

having left the bad behind,

now they are all good--

that's what's nice about the past

gentler and kinder for distance

the glare taken off

the red-eye gone

and with computers and programs

the desktop has become our new place for editing

far from the real world

really not a mouse-click away

Now they are all gone

now they are all good
