Longing is a primal ache…
And the longing-ache
A basic to cherish—
For what value is there
In something we care less
To lose? That is to say
Treasure is only treasure
If worth another taking—
Therefore, love is worth
All the aching, for no heart
Is a valued heart
If not
For the chance
Of its breaking….
