I have walked

where the sun shines brightly,

where the red sunset

warms the evening shade;

where the memory of day

lingers lightly,

through the night

till the dawn

gleams the ocean spray--

sand beneath my feet

with the out-going tide

slithers coolly

sinks me,

winding coils

around my toes--
