Just another day behind the wheel
diesel roar
tires pressed into the pavement
challenging the road with weight
Perhaps this is what
I like most
the sheer force of it all
power to spare
yet patience
a child on his way to school
dawdles in front of me
signaling for me to toot
knowing my heart
