I firmly believe
within us each
abides a universe,
an unfolding lotus
of infinite petals;
and I
but one of the many
humble doormen;
respectfully standing aside,
hoping to write on occasion
something
compelling the sojourner on—
to be wowed 
by a blossom of their own eyes.
