"I Stood In Light Of Crescent Moon" by Joe DiMino.
 
I stood in light of Crescent Moon;
Hung my cloak upon her charming hook—
Asked that I might stay awhile
Admire her quarter smile;
 
Dark out of cover I begged the stars
Postpone their twinkling,
 
And of Heaven I dared ask
For an extra hour
To pause without the dusk—
 
That I may bask in her light—forgotten
I am night;
 
Rest a spell outside the ticking;
Between the chimes, safe out of reach—
Where the world will not see me—in her light
Oh so dreamy;
Somewhere Time will keep;
 
For every night miles she must travel—
Walk as a sleeper through my deep—
If only she saw the spark of her
Always carried with me,
But
This
Can
Never
Be….
