"I Stood In Light Of Crescent Moon" by Joe
DiMino.
I stood in light of Crescent Moon;
Hung my cloak upon her charming hook
Asked that I might stay awhile
Admire her quarter smile;
Dark out of cover I begged the stars
Postpone their twinkling,
And of Heaven I dared ask
For an extra hour
To pause without the dusk
That I may bask in her lightforgotten
I am night;
Rest a spell outside the ticking;
Between the chimes, safe out of reach
Where the world will not see mein her light
Oh so dreamy;
Somewhere Time will keep;
For every night miles she must travel
Walk as a sleeper through my deep
If only she saw the spark of her
Always carried with me,
But
This
Can
Never
Be
.
