"I Asked God A Question" (by Joe DiMino)

I asked God a question
I would only trust to Him:
Where does human life
Begin?
Is it precisely in the womb?
Twinkle of eyes?
Perhaps somewhere nearer Him,
Where souls first formed
And angles sing His praise,
Sing of eternal love,
Before gifted to earth
Is all conceived first above?
Not simply generically,
But every speck of destiny--
From Big Bang
To Lemon Meringue--
I am told
That I have Free Will,
And yet at times compelled
I sense my truth less free
And more
Carbon copy
A die of me….
