"Hatred Is No Mystery?" by Joe DiMino.

Hatred is no mystery;
It is thoughtless
And direct;
Visceral--but part,
Denying the good—
He who acts with prejudice
Prejudices himself;
Look for the common positive
In all men;
See love in creation
And bouquets will pile
At your feet, having given
The soul’s best performance;
Greatest of strengths
Is to reach with open arms
Toward those in armor
Brandishing swords—
They are forged of fear
By a people having lost
All true courage;
Love is the purest defense:
A life lost is lost—
But love intact
Despite the odds
Equals immortality….
