"Freedom's Call" by Joe DiMino

When I think
Of the Founding Fathers
I hear turning over…
From their graves
Calling to rise-up
Brave men
And women;

Spirit’s witness to the knaves
In office now,

Seeing the wasting
Of precious blood shed
And fortunes spent
(A nation with
A moral, Christian
Theme) darkening from
Evil influence—self-serving,
Totalitarian, lying
Devils, usurping for themselves
God’s Freedom-power—when I think

But leap to attention,
Salute those honored patriots
A deafening urge:
“Give me liberty
Or give me death!”
Knowing I am not
Alone, sensing millions
Strong, intensely on
The verge—
