"For Better For Worse" by Joe DiMino

The mind is
A creature of sorts,
Living inside the head;
Litter-box trained,
Yet feral—quite ferocious
When unfed;

The heart is
A lover by nature;
But the mind
Often prone
To mislead;
As all seducers
Will feed, till little
Left of sensitive
Soul…

So, mind and heart
Do often part,
For better
For worse
Being human
No curse—unless
Both judge and jury;
God not above
His own law.
