"Dreamer" by Joe DiMino

If “…is all that we see
And seem but a dream
Within a dream….”
Then the flaws therein
Or the heaven
Only above
Faults the sleeper
For his ill sleep, and
So goes his unrequited
Love;

Therefore, let the dreamers all
Be repentant dreamers;
And lovers all be
Habitual seemers—
For who dreams self awake
That has not first dared
Dream to wisely forsake—
And what right to declare
A dream of love—
If restricted, even, one dream
To only heaven above….
