"Divinely Unique" by Joe DiMino

The house I know
As the body I live
Has inward
Outward faces;
People are like that—really!—
Structures of sorts;
Internal and external vessels—
At times bought and sold:
Settlements forced upon us
By contractors of cities—
Politicians paying back;
However, thank God!
Or the Force;
Or whatever your preference,
Some do quite well
Without any—
Each of us
Is also entirely personal:
Individual both inside
And out;
Explorers,
Conquerors,
Healers—
Artists with their
Sacred forms
And canvases
(Sacred, not in
A religious sense,
But for a pervasive spirit
Entirely true
To the self alone)
