"Dear Poet:" by Joe DiMino

A wise man
Knows his limits—
And a foolish man
Admits to none;

So it is the foolish man
Always daring
The odds
Stretching outside
The borders
Of expression—

A man of more
Blind faith than reason
And never practical
When romantic

But yes—it is the wise man
That is steady,
Lives one life
And dies a proper time

Only my dear fool
Is foolish enough
To love me
As if forever
