"Bride of Christ" (by Joe DiMino)

I saw a star
And followed—
Then that star
Entered me;
Resided in
My darkness,
For warmth
And company:
Went about
Lighting candles,
At His stations
I rest and pray—
Stay with me
Along the path,
For my fear
That I may stray…

I saw a light
Upon a hill,
Far brighter
Than any
Mortal glee—
My love
There now
With a crown
Beckoning to me:
Three angels
Holding a gown
Prepared just
For me;
Now a bride
Of Christ
To bear
The Sun
Of God
Eternally—
