"Beyond the Borders" (by Joe DiMino)

There are times to be sensuous
(Classic patterns and moves);
And then, times just to be—
That wake of passion
After the wave broken
And the shore a remnant
Of settled rush—

It is here, where lines meet
And coolly dissolve—
The argosy at its
Journey’s edge—
Extending to our thermal
A new world, volcanic created—
Ah! Yes! Differences do speak
Making fond discoveries—
And yet, far greater the silence
That follows
Is really why we came,
To listen for voices
Beyond the borders
