"Balance" (by Joe DiMino)

(1)

Those tracking the auras
Of mountain tops
And lower trails
Valleys deep
Dry with nails,
One, perhaps, sees more the mysteries
But lives only the documents—

(2)

Professing of deeper feeling
Proud of less consuming
While nothing in nature
Only gives; and the arrogance
They tax God

(3)

The sun is for absorbing
And the moon for poetry
And love; and if something hidden
In the fields of shadows
Let them come out
Or die of times not lived
For only God
Need be alone
