"Ask Only That I Live To Seed" (by Joe DiMino)

To say that I retain nothing,
Is to say
That I have opened
To greater everything;
Made of my vessel
A ready vacuum—

Nature’s law,
Deploring
That which she fills;

God’s refined law:
Loving even those
Who sin—

I deserve nothing, Father—
Yet you give me all
Of love;
I squander all away
And you return
Abundance of
My squandering—
Deplored by earth
Your spirit
Always faithful—
At last I accept nothing
But Your love grow
In me—
And ask only
That I live
To seed—
