"As I Love" (by Joe DiMino)

(As I love and seek
To awake that love
In you—then I know
By someone somewhere
I am also loved)

It is at that point
You know the place
Where time stops
And space falls off
Where names lose
Their meanings
And faces are just that
What everyone once was
And left behind
Sort of stains
Within the frames
On an old castle
Inner wall…

At that point
(Reached through oblivion)
Everything has been lost
Yet one senses a new fresh—

A punctured opening

For a short race
Across the court

The only beyond that matters
(All of one’s riches)
FREEDOM!
