"Angel of The Bay" (by Joe DiMino)

There she sits upon same rock
My angel of the bay;
Was it me, or did she cast
Her angel eyes my way?—
Nay, I dare not approach her
For fear she run away—
A bashful angel?
Doubtful eyes?
Perhaps another day….

As I leave
The bay
I wonder:
If like the tides
Timely meet
The shore,
Or will tides
Just slip us
Further away?
