"All In The Passing" (by Joe DiMino)

You see yourself close to God,
While I, at my best, self-righteous—
I, at my worst, my best self-righteous;

These crystals we lean toward
For light of revelation,
Or Greatest book we glean, not to learn
Knowing deep in hearts
Depths of ignorance,
Are for hoping
Through some mysterious Alchemy
Or osmosis by spirit
To divine,
If not that by which we seem to prosper,
Than that
Which at least
Gives lift to higher planes
Of seeming—

No—it is not found in us
But through us;
That liberating doorway
Far off showing us more
We are the passing,
And much less
When perceived
As place….
