Watched TV last night

a musical special--

not one

of the young singers

had taken time

to learn proper breathing,

to exhale smoothly the vowels

and to crimp the consonants

unlike a cable guy

executing wire

or a surgeon

slipping at the throat--

pools of blood

wail the mystics--

wasting spirit

of an entire generation!
