"A Good Dump" (by Joe DiMino)

We empty
To be filled—
Much the same way
As with food
Are music and song:
We sing and play
To be nourished
By the joyful spirit
Released—

And thus
We tithe…
To the local church
Or greater community of souls—
Not that God needs money…
Just our emptying,
Freeing-up space—
Prerequisite
For receiving.
