Now days
Far too many
In our nation
See their world as
Black vs. White—
No shades or color;
Judging men by skin
And not complexion
Of character;
The legacy of a great man
Tainted by hearts
And souls
Deeply poisoned
By politicians
In opposition to truth
(The ultimate evil)
Using racism
As a tool
To gain
And secure power—
A dream suspended
In time….
